Adinath Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji Temple

The Adinath Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji Temple, consecrated by Sri M on July 17, 2024, is located within the precincts of The Satsang Foundation Ashram in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh.

This expansive 4,000 square-foot temple, designed in an elegant Dravidian style, serves as a serene sanctuary for seekers and devotees. With its gentle gray facade, skylit ceiling, and transparent glass walls interspersed with stone pillars, the temple invites contemplation and tranquility, encouraging reflection and peace.

Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji in Padmasana (Lotus Posture)

At its heart is the majestic presence of Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji in Padmasana (lotus posture), surrounded by the raw beauty of rough-hewn rocks, creating a peaceful environment for worship and meditation.

In the Nath Parampara, the first Guru or Teacher, is supposed to be Adinath and Adinath is none other than Shiva. They are indistinguishable. Shakti is most important because Shivam cannot be touched without the activation of the Shakti.

Sri Chakra

Seated in front of Sriguru Babaji is the Sri Chakra, elegantly engraved in black stone and adorned with fragrant flowers befitting her presence.

Sri M consecrated the Sri Chakra by chanting a shloka from the Saundarya–Lahari by Adi Shankara:

Kvanat-kanchi-dama kari-kalabha-kumbha-stana-nata
Pariksheena madhye parinata-sarachandra-vadana;
Dhanur banan pasam srinim api dadhana karatalaii
Purastad astam noh Pura-mathitur aho-purushika

Translation: With a face like the Chandra, ardhchandram shashi prabham, the one who has Kvanat-kanchi, with all the anklets in the waist and legs and so on, with the bow of the kamarupa, arrow of flowers and the karathalai which you use to goad the cow for instance. With all this, please present yourself before me.

The Sri Chakra, also known as the Sri Yantra, is a sacred geometric diagram drawn to symbolize the infinite primordial energy as it permeates and pervades the entire universe. It is a powerful symbol of the divine feminine energy (Shakti) consists of nine interlocking triangles that form a complex pattern, surrounded by a circle and square, symbolizing the interconnectedness of all existence.

This representation serves as a powerful focal point for meditation and devotion, inviting seekers to connect with their inner selves and the greater cosmos, fostering harmony, balance, and spiritual growth.

Sriguru Babaji’s Sacred Paadhukas

Sri M wanted a pair of Paadhukas of Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji for Madanapalle ashram. Since Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji never uses footwear, he specially blessed these Paadhukas in the previous Babaji’s shrine on a full moon night in the presence of Sri M.

This was done confidentially on a Guru Purnima when Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji also expressed his desire that a bigger temple be built, which HE will grace with his eternal presence, the divine outcome of which is this present temple.
