Aarti
Home » Aarti

Aarti Seva is done twice a day. The aarti takes around 15 minutes and involves Deepa Aradhana (showing lamps lit with ghee wicks) to the idol of Sri Guru Babaji, the Sri Yantra, the Paadhukas, and the portrait of Maheshwarnath Babaji.
Bells are rung amidst the beating of the damuru, while the priest chants mantras to invoke the blessings of the Divine on behalf of all the devotees.
The Seva is completed by playing Sri M’s rendition of the Rig Veda verses “Sangacchadvam”, and the Ananta Rupini song.
After the song, devotees can do circumambulation of Sri Guru Babaji and partake of the consecrated sacred water and Prashad.
In accordance with Sri M’s wishes, the following verses from the Rig Veda will be played after each Aarti, at the Adinath Sriguru Mahavatar Babaji Temple, Madanapalle. This rendition is by Sri M, along with the students of Bharat Yogavidya Kendra.

English Translation
- Come together, speak together, let your minds be in agreement. Just as the ancient gods, being united, shared their portions and worshipped together.
- Your resolve is the same, your hearts are united. May your minds be in harmony, so that you may live together peacefully and cooperatively.
Aarti Song - 'Ananta Rupini '
The Ananta Rupini hymn is dedicated to the Divine Mother, who is represented in the temple by the Sri Chakra (Sri Yantra), a sacred symbol of worship for spiritual growth, prosperity, and divine blessings.
The hymn praises the Divine Mother as the infinite, all-powerful, and compassionate goddess who embodies countless virtues and names. She captivates Shiva, sustains the universe, removes misfortunes, grants wisdom, and bestows both worldly joy and spiritual liberation. As Parvati, Durga, and Bhagavati, she is the supreme and radiant force, bringing eternal happiness and victory.
This is a rendition by Sri Saptarishi Chakraborty, especially for our temple.
Aarti Song - 'Ananta Rupini'
ananta-rūpiṇī ananta-guṇavati
ananta-nāmnī girije mā;

rāmakṛṣṇa-jaya-dāyini mā.
O Mother with innumerable forms, endless qualities, and countless names, you are the divine consort residing in the heart of Shiva and creatrix of the universe, the giver of fame to Sri Ramakrishna. (Or Primordial Shakti who bestowed victories to Sri Rama and Sri Krishna in wars)
jagaj-jananī triloka-pālinī
viśva-suvāsini śubhade mā;
durgati-nāśinī sanmati-dāyini
bhoga-mokṣa-sukha kāriṇī mā.
O universal Mother, sustainer of three worlds, permeating in the Universe and bestower of all auspiciousness, destroyer of miseries, conferrer of wisdom, bestower of pleasure of enjoyments and bliss of emancipation
parame pārvatī sundarī bhagavatī
durge bhāmati tvam me mā;
prasīda mātar nagendra-nandini
cira-sukha-dāyini jaya de mā.
O Parama prakriti Parvati of celestial beauty, you alone are Durga & Bhamati (Saraswati), O Mother, daughter of Himalaya, be gracious upon me and grant me eternal bliss and victory over evils.
